Learn how to use Pod recommended top deals to prioritize your pipeline

What are Top Deals?

In sales, opportunities can be complicated beasts. It’s difficult to really understand and put words on why a deal is more exciting than another one. One thing is sure when you have a hot deal, you want to do everything you can to push them forward (and hopefully close them 🤞)

Pod is there to guide you. Leveraging the wealth of data from your CRM and other systems, Pod will recommend a list of 5 deals you should focus on every day.

The recommended deals will change every day based on your latest data, so that you’re always focusing on what matters most.

How to use Top Deals?

Navigate to Top Deals

  1. From the Atlas home page, click on the Prioritize **panel

  2. You’ll find your Pipeline Matrix (Update your Deal Matrix) on the right side.

  3. If you click on the first tab at the top (named “ Top Deals”), you will find a list of opportunities.

What are Top Deals based on?

Leveragin artificial intelligence and statistical models, Pod rank all of your active opportunities to identify the top ones.

It is based on your available data so you always have the right guidance, including the below parameters:

  • Size of the deal ($)

  • Size of the deal (Quantity)

  • Number of stakeholders engaged / identified

  • Diversity of stakeholder engaged (role)

  • Imminence of deal closure

  • Probability to close

  • Progress through the pipeline

  • Number of days since opening vs. deal stage

  • Number of days since moved to a new stage

  • Velocity through the pipeline since opening

  • Number of touchpoints

  • Number of customer meetings (vs. other touchpoints)

  • Frequency of touchpoints (avg # of touchpoint per week

Actions you can take on Top Deals

  1. Click on a deal card and review the details of the deal: deal name, account name, close date, deal stage, and amount of the opportunity.

  2. Update the signals of your deal to reflect its current state (Leverage your Deal Signals for more details)

  3. Review where it sits in your pipeline matrix (Update your Deal Matrix for more details) to make the best next actions

  4. Mark a deal on your Watchlist to keep an eye out for it

  5. Investigate a deal further with the Jump to button - allowing you to access the details, opportunity timeline, and much more.

When do Top Deals help?

Top Deals helps you to focus on what matters so you can double down on the most exciting opportunities in your pipeline and push it over the finish line.

  • Sellers in Pod review Top Deals at the beginning of the week to make sure they’re spending time in the right part of their pipeline.

  • You can also use Top Deals ahead of a pipeline review to be ready to tackle any questions your manager could have for you.
